New Pictures

I finally had some time to post some new pictures! This first one is of our view when we took the kids up into the mountains and I had to try and capture how gorgeous it was!

This next one is of Corey and Jon's Dad (Grand-Daddy.....or Paw Paw) while we were in Charleston. Corey LOVES his Paw Paw VERY much! He pretty much wouldn't let anyone else hold him while we were there. Not even me! We can't wait to see Maw Maw and Paw Paw again!

And here they are again:

This is a pic of my boys throwing leaves in our front yard....
they had SO much fun that day!! (I'm pretty sure that
Caleb is under the leaves)

Ethan and Caleb on our drive up through the
mountains....what a view!

This would be the pre-leaf fight photo!!

And this is a picture of my wonderful boys
at the chili cook off at our church:

Ethan's cheeks were rosy from playing
so much outside!

And this is a picture of my boys last night in front of our
Christmas tree....it took us FOREVER to get
Corey to smile. We finally had to give him his
own chair to sit in. He didn't want to be held
by his brothers! (Or keep his socks on)

I have a few more pictures from Charleston that I can post later. But most of what we took while we were there were videos. We don't have a digital camera yet to replace our old one that "died", but we do have a video camera (Thank you Dad!!!!)  that will take still shots. Anyway, I hope you guys enjoy these and I will get more on here later!

Rainy Thursday

Well it is rainy and cold outside this morning...I'm glad that I'm not out in it. I hope that it clears up later this morning because I have errands that I really need to do. Anyway, I was sitting here this morning after just having got my 3 oldest out the door and on the bus, and I thought to myself, why don't you update your blog? Then I thought, well you could, but everyone really just likes to look at the pictures and if you can't post pictures then you might as well wait. THEN I thought, well just do it anyway so that people know what you have been up to. (If they happen to really want to know that.) OK, here goes. Jon and the boys and I went to Charleston, SC. for Thanksgiving to visit his side of the family. We left on Nov. 22nd and didn't leave to come home until Nov. 30th! It was a wonderful vacation. The kids missed 2 days of school, but oh well. We had the best time and I must say that I really needed the break from the daily routine and responsibility. And I have to say that I am super blessed in the fact that Jon has a wonderful family who obviously is my family as well. We were able to spend time with everyone which I loved every minute of. Truly a real blessing and something that I am so thankful for. I do have to say that I did miss spending time with my family though. I have always been with my family for every holiday for my whole life. This was the first time that I did something different. But like I said, we had a wonderful time. Except for the fact that Corey got super sick with a stomach virus and then guess what? Sunday night when we got home....mommy got it. Yuck. So, I have been sick since Sunday night, but it is much better this morning and probably will be gone by tonight. Hopefully. I will post pictures by this weekend....still not an easy task. Please pray for funds for a new computer and a new digital camera. Well, my baby who slept VERY late this morning just woke up. So, it's time for me to go get him and fix his breakfast. Right now he is talking in his crib waiting for me to get there. So sweet. :-)

It's Been Forever......

Ok, so I have not been on here to post anything in awhile. I keep telling myself that I need to do it AND that I need to put new pictures on here. Which, as I have explained before, is not as easy as it is for most. Needless to say, I am so happy that in about 2-3 months we will have a NEW computer! WOOHOO! And hopefully a new digital camera. Thank you God for that! I so LOVE to take pictures. I have even thought of being a professional photographer. Not because I am good at it, but because I LOVE it. And I am all about doing something that you love for a living. Anyway, to update everyone....especially those family members who aren't as close to us.....ever since I got back from my cousins wedding I have been swamped. Sick kids, sick husband, sick myself. Plus..... This is usually my day during the week: 5:50am - Austin gets up for school (he is awesome and sets his OWN alarm to get up) and I have already set everything out for him the night before that he needs as well as making his lunch which he grabs out of the fridge before he leaves to go out in front of our house to wait for the bus which comes at 6:20am! (I am usually telling him to have a good day while I am still half asleep). Then at 6:50am I wake up Ethan and Caleb, they get up and get dressed in clothes that I make SURE that they lay out the night before. I guess I should mention that all my boys take a shower the night before....just in case  you were asking yourself, "when do they take showers?" Ok, so Ethan and Caleb get up, get dressed and come to the table where I have already set out everything they need. It's usually cereal and juice along with their daily multi-vitamins. Sometimes it's bagels and cream cheese, or bacon, egg and cheese biscuits. But it's always out and ready for them when they are finished getting dressed. In the mean-time, my 14 month old is usually waking up. Usually between 6:30am and 7:15am. So, I run in and change his diaper and bring him out to join his brothers. I fix him juice or milk in his sippy cup and hope that this will hold him off until I can get Ethan and Caleb on the bus which comes at 7:30am (if it's 6:30 when he gets up, he obviously won't wait for an hour to eat, so I usually give him fruit and some cereal). I make sure that they have had enough to eat, take their vitamins, brush their teeth, get their lunch and backpack. THEN it's time to stand at the door to listen for the bus...thank you God for the fact that the bus stops RIGHT IN FRONT OF OUR HOUSE. They leave at 7:30am and if Corey hasn't had enough to eat, I fix him something else to eat. Then it's time to brush his teeth, get him dressed, and have some play time. And by this time it's only like 8:15am!!! Is it nap time for mommy yet!?! This is just a small peek into my very busy days. But I love it. Don't ever think that I don't . I love being a mom. Really, it is quite a privilege. More pictures coming by the end of the weekend!!!!

Caleb and Papaw Fishing!!

This past Saturday, while I was in North Carolina, Caleb spent the night with my dad so that they could go fishing on Sunday. They had THE BEST time and caught a total of 75 fish!! Caleb caught a 3 1/2 pound bass all by himself! Also, Papaw bought him the camo jacket that he is wearing as well as a new pair of hiking boots and a pocket knife.(Mommy keeps an eye on the pocket knife....no worries. It's mostly just to collect for now.)  Needless to say, Caleb was in heaven. Here are a few pictures from their time on the river. Thanks Papaw for such a good time fishing!! We love you!

Pictures.....Finally!!!

Ok, so I finally am able to put some pictures on here. And I will be able to post more frequently when we can get a new digital camera. For those of you who don't know my family I would like to introduce them. This is my wonderful husband Jon on our honeymoon (short for Jonathan). He is the sweetest man, and such a great father to our 4 boys. I love him more and more every day.

This is my oldest, Austin who is 11. He is so sweet and caring and is the best 11 year old I know. Yes, I am his mother, but seriously he is. He is super smart and responsible. He gets great grades in school. He is probably a better planner than I am! He has such a sweet heart and always wants to do the right thing. Some of his favorite things are soccer, camping, hiking, and fishing. And obviously.... going to baseball games!

This is Ethan and he is 9 yrs. old. He will be 10 in Feb. He is my adventurous one. There is nothing that he is afraid of and he loves a challenge. He is very active and wants to be outside ALL the time. He loves trail biking, camping, hiking, etc. Funny enough he is also very sensitive and so sweet. He is always wanting to help in whatever way he can. And he too is really smart, he does so well in school.

This is Caleb and he is 8 yrs. old. Up until last August he was my baby. He has the best sense of humor and can make you laugh in an instant. He is so creative and loves to draw and paint. And he is really good at it too. Some of the things that he has drawn have blown me away. Jon and I are going to be putting him in some art classes this next summer to develop this talent. He really is so sweet and will share with anyone, even his brothers! He is so smart too, his teacher says that he may be a mathematician when he grows up.

This is my youngest Corey....he is 14 months old. This was him enjoying his dinner last night. He is such a ham, he will smile every time you call his name and he sees that you have a camera in your hand. He is a really good baby and has been from the beginning. When he would wake up he would never really cry, just lay there and make noise so that I would come and get him. He is such a sweet baby and he LOVES his brothers. He loves to chase them around the house and he tries his best to keep up! He really likes when he can go into their rooms and play with them. He loves his Ma Ma and Da Da too. When Jon gets home from work he throws his arms up into the air, smiles really big and yells, "Hi!!".  And when I am holding him and someone else tries to hold him he will shake his head, "No, No." So cute. :)

So sleepy

Well I am getting ready to leave in about an hour to go have my hair cut and colored for the wedding this weekend. I am leaving tonight to drive to N.C. I had planned on having pictures up by last night, but as you can see it did not work out. I was not able to find the shoes that I needed yesterday afternoon, so I had to go back out last night. I also did the manicure, pedicure thing and went to the store. I didn't get home until 10pm last night. So, I put the groceries away and went to bed. And guess what? I still don't have shoes. I was at the nail salon for TWO hours . By the time that I got to the mall to buy the shoes that I had picked out, it was 8:40pm. I thought to myself, no problem, I have already picked them out. I will just go in and get them. Wrong. They did not fit. Not even close. And I then did not have time to look somewhere else. So, it's back to shoe shopping after my hair appointment this morning. But, no worries! I know it will all work out. And thanks to my dad who made it possible for me to do all of these things. He is such a sweet and caring dad. :) So, you are all probably saying, "Is she really going to ever put up any pictures?" Yes. I promise I will. That is one of the main reasons that I am doing this. And also to write about my wonderful family. Well, I'm off to get the baby ready to go. It's going to another busy day!

Running Around Town Today.....

Today is going to be a busy day. I leave tomorrow to go to N.C. to be in my cousins wedding. I have a TON of things to do to get ready. I have to go pick up my bridesmaid dress at the seamstress (thank God it's because it was too big), get my shoes to go with the dress, pick up my outfit to wear to the rehearsal dinner, get my car washed, go to the store to pick up stuff for the kiddos while I am away, etc. etc. And of course take care of my 14 month old and get home by 3pm when the bus drops off my oldest in front of my house. I should be able to post pics this evening, the external hard drive is working! Please keep my hubby in your prayers, he is sick and is going to have the kids by himself starting tomorrow evening for THREE days. Maybe you should also pray for my kids! Ha! Just kidding. :)

New to the Blog Thing

This is officially my first blog ever. I have been meaning to start doing this, but I have been so busy that I kept putting it off. How could I be so busy that I didn't have time to set up an account to blog? Well, I have 4 children....yes 4. And I love it. I love everything about being a mother. But obviously, having 4 keeps me pretty busy. Hence, the reason that I have not done this before now. It will take me some time to get my page looking the way that it should, i.e. pictures uploaded and what not. My hubby and I are in search for a new computer as the laptop that we currently have is barely hanging on. I can't even upload pics on it unless I load them on our external hard drive first. Which is fine, however the port on the back of my laptop that I need to do this with has not been functioning correctly. I said all that to say that it will take some time, but I will have pictures for all of you to see soon. And since that is one of the main reasons that I am doing this, it would make sense to make it a priority. :) I have people ask me all the time, "When are you going to send us new pictures of the kids?" So now you all have a place to go and view them....well as soon as I get them on here. :)
